How To Choose BZ Mud Agitator

The agitator is fixed on the top of the mud tank, and the impeller of the stirring rod sinks into the mud.The stirring shaft is connected to the motor through a coupling, rated from 7.5 horsepower to 20 horsepower (5.5 kW to 15 kW).Stirrer selection, to consider the tank size, depth, and mud parameters. The horizontal agitator of BZ Solids Control adopts worm gear and worm drive.

Generally speaking, the single-layer impeller is selected for the following 11KW, and the double-layer impeller is used for 11KW and above.Specific according to the on-site use of slurry tank depth or customer requirements.
The impeller of the agitator is fixed on the shaft by bolts to prevent the rotation and shaking of the impeller in the process of stirring.Usually, the impeller is mounted at a height 3/4 times the diameter of the impeller from the tank bottom. For example, if the diameter of the impeller is 600mm, the impeller needs to be mounted 450mm above the tank bottom.BZ Solids Control recommends the use of vertical impeller when the tank height is less than 1500mm, and the use of inclined impeller when the tank height is deeper. If a double impeller is used, the upright impeller should be mounted at the bottom and the inclined impeller should be mounted at a height of 2/3 above the tank bottom.
The motor and the passive shaft of the crown agitator are rigidly connected by a connecting sleeve, and the agitator shaft is connected by a tapered thread locking sleeve.Shaft length is customized according to customer's requirements.Shaft lengths greater than 2400mm require a centralizing sleeve at the tank bottom to stabilize the shaft.
